ELEDA is a non-binary, queer event producer, educator, artivist, and DJ. She was trained under Oakland's hottest DJ, Gstar, and in 2014 got her first gig at their monthly party, Hella Gay.
Since, she has DJ'd several parties and special events in the San Francisco Bay area including SomArts' "Night Light", "We Love Letters", and Oakland Pride. In addition to being a regular at Hella Gay, she also produced a monthly QTPOC Day Party in Oakland called Awon Funka.
She currently lives in Long Beach, CA with her wife and two dogs, creating art and mixes in her spare time.
In her own words, she describes herself as a St. Louis-born, Oakland-bred artist and DJ who uses African culture to cross international waters and imaginary boundaries. With her musical blends of soca, hip hop, Brazilian funk, dancehall, and deep soul tribal, she keeps her intentions in line with the African tradition of spiritual movement, spreading love and building community.
